Assessment of the zona pellucida microdissection on its thickness in mammalian embryos

چکیده
The zona pellucida (ZP) is a dynamically changing object that plays an important role during the preimplantation stage of embryogenesis. ZP thickness may affect implantation success and pregnancy rate, it considered as prognostic factor in number studies. study was aimed to assess dynamic changes mouse embryonic after laser assisted hatching (LAH) involved breaching integrity at blastocyst stage. Femtosecond pulses were used perform microsurgery. measured both microsurgery (~Е3.5, i.e. 3.5 days embryogenesis) (~Е5). Significant differences revealed control group embryos: from 6.21 µm (Е3.5) 5.4 (Е5). 6.6 6.2 (Е5) observed subjected LAH non-significant. Tracing particular embryo made possible estimate thinning coefficients experimental groups. findings indicate lower tensile strength case can provide basis for further research on properties using cryopreservation protocols.

Mammalian fertilization: the egg's multifunctional zona pellucida.
The zona pellucida (ZP) is a specialized extracellular coat that surrounds the plasma membrane of mammalian eggs. Its presence is essential for successful completion of oogenesis, fertilization and preimplantation development. The ZP is composed of only a few glycoproteins which are organized into long crosslinked fibrils that constitute the extracellular coat. A hallmark of ZP glycoproteins is...
متن کاملDevelopment of early mouse and rabbit embryos without zona pellucida.
Criteria for assessing embryo vitality of denuded rabbit and mouse embryos in vitro were: volume of the embryo, number of cells and number of metaphase plates after 24 and 48 h in culture. Mouse embryos grew normally, with and without the zona pellucida, but denuded rabbit embryos showed reduced growth (volume and cell number) and failure to implant in synchronized recipients.

Objective Apigenin is a plant-derived compound belong to the flavonoids category and has the protective effects on different cells. The aim was to evaluate the effect of apigenin on the number of viable and apoptotic blastomeres, the zona pellucida (ZP) thickness and the hatching rate of preimplantation mouse embryos exposed to H2O2 and actinomycin D. متن کاملStructural Analysis of Peptide-Analogues of Human Zona Pellucida ZP1 Protein with Amyloidogenic Properties: Insights into Mammalian Zona Pellucida Formation
Zona pellucida (ZP) is an extracellular matrix surrounding and protecting mammalian and fish oocytes, which is responsible for sperm binding. Mammalian ZP consists of three to four glycoproteins, called ZP1, ZP2, ZP3, ZP4. These proteins polymerize into long interconnected filaments, through a common structural unit, known as the ZP domain, which consists of two domains, ZP-N and ZP-C. ZP is re...
